See [RELEASE] OpenPHT 1.5.2 for release notes and download links.

Great! Thank you…

But, what is the root password? “root & openelec” don´t work with my Chromebox…

Massaguana

Have you tried ‘root’ and ‘openpht’?

Regards

Okay, “openpht” works… wrong information´s on Github. Thanks Ned

@Massaguana

Where on GitHub, I’ll fix it?

Regards

Take a look @ https://github.com/RasPlex/OpenPHT-Embedded under “Notes”…

here are some Information´s about SSH login:
SSH login details are user: “root” password: “openelec”. SSH allows command line access to your openelec.tv machine for configuration and file transfer. Linux/Mac clients can natively use SSH, while Windows users might want to try PuTTY for their terminal access.

@Massaguana

Thanks, will fix it.

Okay, here are my first impression´s with OpenPHT-Embedded… I use it @ my Asus ChromeBox.

Here are some little point´s and an issue:

  • When Plex Startup there are an Cursor in the middle of the screen although i don´t use an mouse. Klicking something the cursor goes away.

  • Hibernateing don´t work. The Screen goes black but the Box continue run´s (can hear the Fan). An Wakeup is not possible. Must Restart the Box my Hand.

  • An there are image disturbances when i watch an Movie. Take a look to my Fotos from this issue:

looks like an cut horizontal in upper picture when the camera move i can see this, when camera is motinless there are no Problem.
This issue are with all of my movies, SD, HD, 24p etc. playing with Settings are with no effect. Have test the Settings from old PHT OE…

@Massaguana

Thanks for the feedback, regarding the ‘tearing’ of video, which version of the embedded are you using generic or nvidia legacy?

I have an Intel NUC NUC5PPYB with Intel graphics, using the generic embedded I am not seeing this issue.

I’ll raise an issue an GitHub referencing your post, any further info you can post on there the better. https://github.com/RasPlex/OpenPHT/issues/34

Regards

i use the generic version with an ChromeBox…

@Massaguana I’m using OpenPHT [generic Version] on DN2820FYKH and I dont have the tearing issue. Playback is all fine. But i can confirm the appearance of mouse pointer on startup.

EDIT: I have experienced tearing a couple of times now. Not everytime when i play a video. It occurs randomly.

I have made an custom xorg.conf an the tearing are away but there are decoding Artefakts, looks like blur… at the next keyframe is away. than again. With RasPlex 1.0.3 there are no Artefakts.

Great News, big thanks to developers, any info on how to install this?

Thanks for help

JAH

Flash the installer to an SD card or USB stick, insert the SD card or USB stick into your PC/Mac, boot from it and the installer will run, be warned, installing to your hard drive will completely overwrite the hard drive. I normally install onto another SD card or USB stick and then boot and run from that.

I have same tearing problem, I use “Generic” build on amd 5350 APU. (kabini platform) ,
I’ve tried with modded xorg.conf like described in this page http://wiki.openelec.tv/index.php?title=Configuring_a_Custom_xorg.conf (amd section)
without luck.
Here’s my Xorg.0.log _XSERVTransTransNoListen: unable to find transport: tcpFailed to disable liste - Pastebin.com

Tnx in advance for your help.

Thanks for this :slight_smile:
A more convenient way to add skins would be great
(a samba share of /storage/.plexht/addons would do nicely :wink: )

Edit the samba.conf.sample to add whatever you want and rename it samba.conf and restart.

Problem solved with custom xorg.conf and vertical sync always on and reboot. Now this release work flawlessy.
I notice that power save option (shutdown after xx minutes) doesn’t work if video is in pause but works when no video playback, it’s a bug or it must works like that?
