Remote access suddenly stopped working over a wek ago. Please let me know what logs I need to send to help. I suspect its a certificate issue with plex. Please help I have exhausted all options.
Certificates are usually OK (unless you see specific certificate errors in the logs)
Current confirmation of the problem, and a temporary workaround, is to downgrade to the previous version or even down to 1.32.5.7210 if you have it handy.
If changing version does not resolve the issue, your DEBUG log files ZIP will be needed to see specifically what’s happening when PMS starts.
I will try to downgrade but I do not have that version available. Do you have the apk installer for asustor Nas handy by chance? ALso what would be the best way of downgrading on asustor nas?
Running old version now. Started working for a few minutes then back to red. I just reinstalled over same plex shared folder. I can provide logs or start fresh install. Which files from logs zip do you need?
I peeped the console after reinstall and said warning with this message: [CERT] TLS connection from [::ffff:10.0.0.176]:50598 came in with unrecognized plex.direct SNI name ‘10-0-0-116.8110d27e013d42219deefbe923621548.plex.direct’; using installed plex.direct cert
So the certificate is not the issue? I also checked the UPnP port thru canyouseeme.org and it says closed. So maybe the router is blocking connection somehow? Manual port forward does not work either
If you verified the manual port forward configuration and could confirm there’s nothing wrong with it but it’s still not working, maybe it’s time to contact your ISP to check if they’re blocking specific ports from being “exposed”.
So I installed a new router, was working for a few minutes as usual after a restart, thew ports were open, then stopped working. I’ve checked windows firewall and running no antivirus.

I called isp and they have no idea what this means. Should I just fresh install plex on the NAS? I’m out of ideas
Plex will display the remote access status as „green“/working while it’s still checking the status. This can take some time and is causing quite a bit of confusion… if the remote access status is briefly green and then switching to red after a few seconds (up to a minute or so): consider your remote access isn’t working to begin with.
As you’re dealing with the ISP… ignore Plex for a moment and focus only on the manual port forward.
If you configured that on your router but cannot access/see it from outside your home network, they can help with that!
Either they’re blocking some port, keep you behind a CGNAT (treating their backend like a home network to save IPv4 addresses) or give you a pointer if the manual port forwarding isn’t done correctly.
Don’t tinker with those unless you know exactly what you do!!
