Server Version#:1.14.1.5488
Player Version#: any device i use out of the house. iphone, ipad, apple tv.
I don’t understand why this has stopped working again. It happens randomly from time to time but this time I dont seem to be able to get it going again.
I even resulted to manually specifying a port and checking in my router to make sure its forwarded properly in there too, which it is. But still no joy.
I’m pretty sure the issue is with Plex not me. Some bug introduced as a result of an update.
All devices away from the home can no longer access my server. iPhone, iPad and Apple TV which I share with my brother. Yet the server works fine on all devices inside my home.
Any one got any suggestions for me please?
thanks in advance

Hi. I’m not sure should I start another thread or prop up yours to get more attention.
I’m back here too for remote access issues. The last few years were trouble free. Hopefully we can get back there soon.
I have four people that use my server regularly. All of them have been having trouble the last six to eight weeks. I have told all of them to message me as soon as their connection drops.
Remote access drops randomly and frequently. But last night I think I triggered a bug. I opened PMS dashboard to see what my brother was watching. This caused PMS to cut remote access. This happen last week to another family member but I wasn’t sure if I had caused the drop.
Below are two sets of logs taken soon after PMS dropped remote access.
The only thing I did was open PMS in Chrome, click on activity and select dashboard. The Remote access link broke straight away each time.
Please help.
Cheers.
I have Version 1.14.1.5488 also and it doesn’t allow me to get remote access functioning again, Plex updates have done this in past but not this long. Tried setting up remote(many many many times), worked for a second then failed again, set up port forwarding in my Asus AC-3100, still no luck. I get this tip - It looks like your server may be connected to the internet through multiple routers (1 router but is does have a 192.168.2.215 ip) or other network devices(none). Try connecting it directly to your primary device, or visit our support site for more information about troubleshooting this “Double-NAT” scenario. (do not have a double NAT). The only thing to change is my service provider and it is HS via microwave) I depend on this service a LOT, when away from home. I have followed all your procedures with no luck, so it seems that this might be on Plex end.
What can I do about this problem ASAP Plex Media Server Logs_2019-01-10_14-56-40.zip (3.0 MB)
oh yes I forgot this I did connect directly from the microwave antenna digital lan cable, no modem, no router, I have norton Internet Security and Plex is allowed in all instances, but I did try with NIS disabled and it still didn’t work
Hey. I rolled back to version 1.13.2.5142 & everything has been working perfectly since.
There is another thread that is much more active that I started posting in. You might want to pop over there if your issues return.
