I’ve only been using Plex about 6 months. My server has been installed on a Win10 Laptop. It has worked flawlessly for 6 months everywhere, remote access has been perfect. About a week ago, Remote stopped working. I followed all the troubleshooting but no luck. I still have the red ! point on Remote Access. I thought maybe my ISP may have changed something so I loaded Plex on a Win11 PC connected to the same ISP in my house. It works, but I still show red on the Win 10 system.
What could I be missing? I even tried uninstalling and re-installing.
You may want to check all the network settings in Plex and your router(s) in my case the port forwarding was playing around.
I have the exact same problem. Suddenly it doesnt work at all, after years of being fine.

Followed all the steps on plex in regards to remote access and public IP keep getting the red x after beind connected for 15 seconds or so and remote access is not working.
what is happening? when i travel i am not able to watch on my laptop and that never happend before… any advise?
I’m having this exactly same issue. Plex remote access has worked perfectly for months and now it is borked. Going through the steps in the help article did not resolve the issue - remote access returns for less than a minute then drops out again.
