You may want to check all the network settings in Plex and your router(s) in my case the port forwarding was playing around.

Followed all the steps on plex in regards to remote access and public IP keep getting the red x after beind connected for 15 seconds or so and remote access is not working. what is happening? when i travel i am not able to watch on my laptop and that never happend before… any advise?

I’m having this exactly same issue. Plex remote access has worked perfectly for months and now it is borked. Going through the steps in the help article did not resolve the issue - remote access returns for less than a minute then drops out again.
