Yes, just be patient and it should resolve itself.
Affirmative with a little patience and without touching anything I observe that everything is back to normal after the little scare we had, thank you very much for everything.
working now, thanks!
Still not working here. Unable to start PMS or access media content.
If PMS isn’t even loading on your system then that’s a different issue
i can confirm everything is working as it was before thank you very much
Still waiting for my remote access on PLEX Web to come back up.
I’m guessing batches of people are getting through the API until the rate limit kicks in again.
@anon18523487 - good to hear that patience will resolve the API Rate Limit Exceeded issue. Any chance the Plex Status Page could show an acknowledgement that the issue still exists?
Well, it was working fine prior to the password change today. Possibly pure coincidence but Occam’s razor suggests otherwise.
I still have the problem, that my home users do not see the server
UPDATE - Seems as if what I did below entering the local IP address :port into a browser on the server and accepting / entering my new password again actually fixed the issue for me.
I am having the same issue as everyone else with suddenly after changing my password / reclaiming the server remote access shows unavailable (despite nothing else changing) but I discovered something that might be an important detail (or not) so I wanted to share the nuance I found.
Only way I could access the server UI (on my LAN) was from the server itself via ‘http://127.0.0.1:32400/’. When going into the Remote Access section it indeed confirmed the server was not accessible externally.
Then as a test I replaced 127.0.0.1:32400 with ‘http://10.10.10.38:32400/’. Pasted in below is what I got in response. I clicked the sign-in button and authenticated.
Then all of a sudden the plex Remote Access tab started to report everything was OK / Plex was “fully accessible from outside your network”
In reality this is NOT the case. Same problem - not able to access plex either externally nor can Tautulli.
So now what? Obviously this is a widespread problem. Do we just wait it out and things will magically start working again or do we need to “fix” something?
It’s fixed for me as well. Just have patience I guess.
I found the problem, my home users did not have access to any media. I do not know why these settings changed.
I’m fixed now too! Thank you @anon18523487!
Same with me, i thought it was my firewall, this is a plex issue. I have tried everything, internally is good but externally drops very quickly. I was going to purchase the plex pass but if this sort of thing is going to happen, i might have to consider alternatives.
All working now, thanks.
Working for me too. finally!
Thanks.
Still seeing the “API rate limit exceeded” cycling through my “Plex Media Server.log” & still no access via https://app.plex.tv/desktop/#!/
@anon18523487 - 4 days now with the “Plex Media Server.log” still cycling the error “[15704] ERROR - CERT: Error acquiring new certificate: Failed to upload CSR: 429” and "error code=“1003” message=“API rate limit exceeded” status=“429"” Any suggestions?
I have the same problem as above. Can you guide me to change the ip address to have remote access?
