I’ve never used that modem before. Looking on line it seems to be a rouer not am modem but I may be looking at the wrong thing. So it does not have any settings that explicitly says “port forwarding”?
Is the WAN adress in the settings of router the same as what you get when you search google for “what is my IP”
Did you enable the “manually specified port” in the remote access settings?
found this but i still cant work out why it says fully accessable outside the network for about 15 sec then it changes and say no access
【New message】How to configure Port Forwarding with WAVLINK router
That’s just Plex‘ default behavior.
While Plex is testing the remote access status, it’ll display the status as „green“ / fully accessible outside your network. After the test is complete, it’ll show the actual status.
any idea from the link i supplied?
That depends on what’s actually going wrong, e.g. did you succeed in setting up the port forward on your router and configure Plex accordingly.

can i ask a question ?
so do i want the public ip address in remote access to be port forwarded with port 34200 through the router.?
You can pick what public port you want to forward… you’ll just need to tell Plex which public port to use.
The private/internal port on the server machine must always be 32400.
so i didnt do anything from the other day and now its saying that i have full access outside the network somehow its working
sorry now its saying no access
Test usually takes a few seconds but under certain circumstances it might take several minutes.
So let’s assume it didn’t actually work.
