I don’t blame the Plex developers, they are probably being forced to implement this crap by the bean counters. However, there is a huge amount of feedback here in the forums that this was a totally stupid idea. Lets see:

I can’t get to my music libraries. I can’t get to my movie libraries. I can’t get to my tv libraries. I can’t even get to my settings without 5 key presses! Hey instead of moving up and down between menus, now you have to hit the back button to go to the top the screen, but only part of that menu. New UI is an awful experience

The updated app is unfortunately broken on my TV. While the new UI design looks fine at first glance, the actual usability is very poor. Navigation feels slow, unintuitive, and buggy. For example: I can’t simply use the UP/DOWN arrow buttons to move between library items and the menu bar. I don’t want “On Demand” cluttering my menu bar, yet I can’t remove it. Currently there are almost 1000 posts in these groups that unanimously declare this is a horrible update. This is from many Plex Pass users. You need to honor your users and listen to their input. Throw this crap away and get back to providing an interface that your customers appreciate and enjoy.
