Any luck with it working continuously? I really don’t want to reset everything and then not work.
Yes, it seems to have kept working now after I did a full reset.
I have a samsung curved 4K with the tizen dont know which versions of software all i know is buffering and more buffering…
Here is the facts…
Server not a problem spec is through the roof;
IPADs/Andriod Phones/iPhones/PC’s and xbox’s all with no issues.
If a devices has a ethernet port then it is wired not wireless.
Wireless networks is AC1300 5Ghz and 450mbps on the 2.4Ghz.
If i smb/upnp network folder share from the TV then the it plays.
Factory reset the TV - same just buffers.
Delete the app and reinstall - same just buffers.
no matter what i do on the samsung TV it just buffers;
Any media type mp4/avi/mkv x264 or x265 just buffers.
Any other devices have no problems.
I have during my testing improved the server beyond what it was (thanks RAMDISK from AMD) which has only made other devices even faster load times.
Was working on samsung fine until the last two updates were applied.
GIVEN up on plex for samsung as no one can be arsed to fix it.
now apple mirror from iphone through to the apple tv i have connected (3rd gen).
Come on someone please fix this; its stupid. its like the EAC51 sound problem all over again on andriod devices. We dont care what the problem is we simply want it to just work.
Did you setup a manual server on the tizen?
It would be nice if gave the reason behind your question. Now its a time consuming yes/no game.
WHY would he have setup a manual server, or WHY shouldn’t he…?
I have had better luck myself with setting up a manual server on the client so all data stays local.
That’s why I suggested settings up a manual server to see if it changes his experience.
Same issue for me with Samsung KS8000. Reset everything, reinstalled 3.98.2. Same issue. Plex works perfect on my FireTV’s.
No idea. Bored of dancing with Plex trying to make it work. I’ll give Emby a try instead.
OK, after a full power cycle today, returned to garbage on screen again…
If plex would refund me the $120 I just paid I’d go to emby… so lame. I thought this was a sound service. What a waste of money. Going to let other people know about this and advise them against plex so they don’t make same mistake.
I had 0 issues until last update. Every other device works fine. But I paid for plex, I built the server, and everyone else is good but me. And it’s all my content. Nothing is more frustrating that my perfectly fine tv won’t work because the app is messed up.

Haven’t you heard? It’s not Plex’s fault, it’s Samsung’s fault.
Ignoring the fact that Emby works. Presumably that’s Samsung’s fault too
I had some problems with my KS as well, not this particular problem but I do understand your frustration. It took Plex a while but eventually they figured it out and now it’s working fine. I do believe them that now it’s something to do with Samsung because this problem seems limited to a very small subset of the KS series so it makes sense that something is different on these sets and unless you have one it’s impossible to replicate the problem and test.
I have Emby as a backup solution but not for my Samsungs because if you’re not in US, UK or Ireland you can’t get it. Goes to prove that no solution covers everything.
Unfortunately the only thing you can do is wait and bug @sLumpy from time to time for an update
Well, I reset my whole tv. Set everything up again. Plex open first time. After that back to that same crappy screen. This is ridiculous.
How do we get someone to fix this?
Any solution or intentions to fix this issue? Freaking nuts my only solution is to dump plex or buy a new tv.
Just wanted to post that i have the same issue start as of today, i have deleted the app from the Samsung tv and reinstalled, same issue as what is shown in the screen shot
Doesn’t seem anyone cares. Perfectly fine working tv but have to buy a smart device dedicated to plex. So frustrating.
I’ve pinged Samsung for an update. Last I heard they’re still looking into it.
Sadly dumping Plex for Emby until a solution is figured out, it has been many months of constant problems with about 1 month of it working good before another update came out which broke it again.
It has never worked right for me. Have to use my Apple TV and Roku to prevent audio drop-outs on Plex. Samsung Plex app is deleted now.
Still no fix? This is unreal. I have been using Emby for 1 tv which is my main one. This is annoying.
