Samsung SmartTV - Plex blank screen

Any Updates from PLEX on a fix? This Sucks

I have this exact same issue. I have to delete the app, reinstall it, and link my Plex account every single day. Please Plex, make a statement or fix this. There has been nothing but trouble with the Plex app since the new UI update.

@Jrturnerinsc i was having that issue too, mine is now working, probably for a week or so now, and it corresponded with me leaving a friends old server which was no longer online.

Might be a coincidence but thought i would mention.

Ok so I have been asking for support on the black tiles issue for a month and a half now with the only support being install the new update, which didnt resolve the problem.

I have asked twice if someone from Plex Support can work with me to submit logs and debug/troubleshoot and this has not happened.

I and multiple other people are having the same issue and its completely reproducible.

So can I get some support or not please ??

I’m having the blank tiles issue on my Samsung 2016 UN78KS9500 series. My old 2013 UN32F6300 runs fine (although it sorts Television by newest series added not newest episode with a recent update as well which is frustrating.) Would really like a fix…

Ok so I guess not then, I keep asking and asking and am just ignored. Seems being one of the early ones and taking a Plex Lifetime Subscription and backing Plex is being repayed with the worst type
Of support ever…just being ignored??

As mentioned before, I am having the same issues as @MarPlex. Every single day I had to uninstall the app to get it functioning. I figured out that this won’t happen if you disable auto login.

Boy would it be nice to at least see Plex Support acknowledge this. We need to get these issues on backlog so they can be fixed. All we’re asking for is a working app. Some of these issues prevent Plex from playing anything.

The big problem, a black screen when the server requires secure connections, seems to be fixed in app version 3.98.1. Thanks!

But it is still not working as good as before the issue surfaced. Although you can now use the app when the server requires secure connections, the main window won’t load any content after starting the app. It won’t stop showing the loading indicator. Switching to a different screen and then back to the home screen loads the content, but this is annoying. Could this remaining issue please also be fixed @sLumpy?
