Samsung TV App

I guess there is many of that has issues after the update that when out the 27 of May 2019, The plex app frezzes many times in movie or a tv series. That had never happend before, So i guess it must be a kind of bug. The apple tv4k dont have that issues neither on the web, my lan is 1gbit with hpe switch, not the cheap model.

I have a fire stick on my other TV and it has no problems at all. Its also got the nice new UI. So its down to the Samsung app having issues! Is there any way to report this ?

After i posted my post i read the hole post and as sLumpy is stateing , they know about it and are working on it.

We’ve been working with Samsung to find the cause of this issue. We’ve released today 3.98.2 that should hopefully address the problem.

3.98.2 does not allow any sign in, just Black Screen with Media not found message, two boxes with Go back or Go Home, neither of which work and no option to sign in.

Try deleting the app via the App store (don’t use Reinstall, use Delete) and then installing it again.

The 3.98.1 version is the only version I have available. I have had issues for the year I have owned my Samsung QLED. Will this ever work? My main issue was audio dropout on certain titles and even though sLumpy did his best to help, it was never resolved.

Update: I am testing the movies/shows where I had audio dropout issues. I’ve tested a few so far and it seems like its working! Thank you!

Samsung support say it’s a plex issue. When do we get a fix or a refund?

Samsung’s working on a fix. It’s not a Plex issue. There are other apps with the same issue, and I’m talking with them directly already. A fix will be available as soon as they can find the cause.

Sure it’s Samsung…? I just spent my second session on the phone and they linked into my TV directly with no success. Same as everyone else. They removed app, reinstalled and it worked for one session then back to black screen with ā€œwindow.performance … blah, blah, blahā€ on it. They are clearly putting blame on Plex since all other apps are working fine. I have a couple LG tv’s that do Plex just fine, just some conflict with the Samsung setup. Grrrr. Plex is our main deal and our biggest tv in our living room is a Samsung 78" curved 4K. What a nightmare.

Already fixed here. I’ve just checked it for you guys. I got the new version, release date June 25th. It’s working! Samsung UE49KS8000.

No, it doesn’t work.

None of the versions after the original 3.3.4 have worked for me. Only the 3.84.0 ā€œdebugā€ version worked for several months before breaking, other versions worked up to 2 days max.

Please help me. I have Plex 3.103.1 app on my Samsung TV and I do not know how to update to a newer version.
Up till last week it worked fine, but now TV cannot connect to PMS.
I checked everything, wifi, sign-in etc.

This is a 2 years old 4K Smart TV.

Do you have other clients that can connect to the server?

Also, have you trued uninstalling a d reinstalling the app?

Yes I did. I uninstalled the app, deconnect electricity, installed again. Still I don’t have the latest version. Samsung sent me to Plex provider.

What is the model mumber of uour tv?
