Server/library section disappeared…

Sync the NAS with a public NTP server. This verifies the time is correct and the NAS can communicate with the Internet.

Synology Control Panel → Regional Options → Time tab → Synchronize with NTP server.


Point a browser at the IP address of the NAS: https://nas_ip_addr:32400/identity.

You should see a line of XML with claimed=0 or claimed=1.

If claimed=0, then the server is unclaimed. Follow FAQ 31: Reset / Reclaim PMS on DSM 7 (Not Authorized - Locked Out).

If claimed=1: Provide a set of server log files

  1. Stop Plex Media Server and wait 1 minute.
  2. Start Plex Media Server (to log the startup)
  3. Wait 3 minutes for Plex to fully start and log the startup sequence.
  4. Stop Plex Media Server
  5. Using File Station, navigate to the Plex Data Folder. Right click on the Logs directory and choose to compress to logs.zip.
  6. Download the zip file and post it to the thread.
