Server removed, cannot set it up again, Synology NAS

Server Version#: 1.21.1.3906
DSM 7

Hi,
My Plex Account got hacked and before I reacted changing the password my Server got removed.
First I thought no problem, I can recreate the search libraries, but seems like I cannot find the way to start the server again.
When I login to Plex, I can only see shared servers from other people, and Plex Media files like Live TV, Movies etc.
I cannot setup my server again. I do not see the option.
I tried removing and reinstalling the server together with all the files accessing via ssh.
editing Preferences.xml
removing Preferences file
I cannot trigger the Server Setup

Any ideas ?

All the shares that I need to access have the right permissions set.

@pmik01

Are you using the DSM 7 preview package or are you using the DSM 6 package?

What did you actually do via the command line? (details please).

I ask because 99% of what needs to be done is available via the DSM 7 package’s GUI.

Hi,
I don’t think you can install 6 package on DSM 7, I use the preview that comes with Synology packages.

I cannot find anything in GUI

ok,
I fixed that by accessing the server locally by IP not Externally.
This triggered new server setup.
Re-added libraries, and Claimed the server.

All up and running

Please go to the Preview thread and use the updated package version.

The Synology Package Center version is now grossly out of date.

Please do:

  1. Uninstall (keep option)
  2. Manual install the SPK from here.

We sent this package to Synology last night. It will be in Package Center in a few days.

You will see how it now can cope with issues like those you had without needing to use the SSH command line.
