Shield experience 9 upgrade, server dissapeared

Update for me after installing hotfix #3 yesterday afternoon: it still locks up overnight

I’ve started powering off my Shield in the evening to save time scanning the external USB after the nightly lock up. This has been working well.

After installing fix 3 I left it on overnight to see if things had improved from my perspective. Checking this morning it’s offline/unavailable again.

I can also confirm that Plex .5448 became unresponsive overnight with hotfix #3
Shield Pro 2019 with Seagate Expansion 5tb Usb-storage.

@sixones Happened again. Logs attached. Please find something.

So i also received hotfix 3 and installed it. Then in Plex client settings I found Plex media server settings and stop it then run it. Everything is working fine

Oh OK. I’ll do that.

do you have file manager X-plore?
I just bought nvidia shield tv pro and i thought i will not have any problems with plex but i was wrong. I will try to explaine some ideas which i have.
So download plex from play market and installed it. Go to X-plore file manager - find My Programm/Installed. You will see Plex (it is client) and may be Plex Media Server. If PMS exists - delete it. And install that apk from
fix bug : Plex Media Server 1.25.3.5410 (smb) APK Download by Plex, Inc. - APKMirror
After PMS installation run it and the installer itself will direct you to the steps to install the server.
p.s. sorry for my english

Wouldn’t it be better to install the Plex Media Server listed here above? Version .5448? I think it should perform better than .5410

Before hotfix 3 installed I used 5410 and it works good but after hotfix 3 the pms automatically became 5448 and it also works but with some lugs

So this morning, for the first time since the android 11 update, Plex started and worked as it should. Also working from my phone and other devices. I installed hotfix 1 and the made no changes until the hotfix 3 installation.

So my current setup is PMS ver. 1.25.3.5448 (apparently installed with hotfix 3) plex client 8.28.0.30077. External 5 TB USB NTFS storage. All app and system auto updates are now off!

Will update the forum in a few days or if I start having problems again.

One thing that still happens after a reboot is that Plex says there is no Internet connection even though there is and other apps are ok. Once I press Retry it’s back on again.

i also noticed it. plex not so quiсkly

I already tried all that, with all the PMS versions proposed.

just now i reinstall pms from 5448 to 5410
give me some time i will check and inform about results

just now i reinstall pms from 5448 to 5410
so 5410 looks better then 5448 - some files had eternal buffering (5448) and now files are opening immediately (5410)
also after 5410 installation you need to set all file paths again and you must relogin into your plex acount

I can also confirm that I noticed internal buffering on some of my videos too on .5448.

also important
after 5410 installation go to plex server setting the stop it and run it

I noticed when rebooting the shield and then go to storage I can see my external drive showing “scanning”. After it finished scanning (it took a while) then when I pressed retry inside the Plex client it worked. So my take is that it depends on how big your data file is. But all in all it is taking much longer than it used to to scan the external ssd then turn on PMS.

PMS 5410 also has eternal buffering

what exactly doesn’t work?

Hotfix 3 and PMS .5448 seems to have been better so far, connectivity to the drives hasn’t stopped working and Plex was still running this morning.

To be seen if it will survived more than one night.
