Does anyone have any good news using Plex Media Server 1.25.6.5545?
Your best bet is to get a Synology and no longer use your Shield as a server or sell your Shield and go buy a Shield on older os.
You’re gonna be waiting for a while. Atleast another month…and I’m being generous.

Well, you can just downgrade. Not the most simple procedure but seems doable.
New Shield experience upgrade popped up, I’m installing it right now. Whats new says that it resolves plex server issue, file permissions etc.

@anon18523487 Is the the fix that should fix the underlying shield issues (storage/apps freezing up, disconnect from network, general slowness of USB drive) with adopted storage and exFat/NFTS samba?
It seems that it fixed mine. I hope that library uodate won’t cause any new issues

This is the official update from the Team at Nvidia. With culmination of all hotfixes to date. Plex issues are no longer listed as issues. So Nvidia Team are done with their fixes. Fingers crossed.

File transfer speeds issues still noted, network disconnects, issues with speeds on adopted storage, NTFS drives, migrating to adopted storage etc. These would seem like Nvidia Shield Issues more than Plex issues. Note below log:

Plex working at the moment after installing hotfix 3 and turning off all scheduled tasks. Will wait for more positive feedback here before upgrading to 9.01. Been burned before!

Just upgraded to 9.0.1 still experiencing PMS issues. Current PMS version is 1.25.3.5385

Is that one public or even in the beta for sheild yet? Newest one I see is the 5448 build. Checking updates it’s not popping yet.

The update seems to have fixed things for me. So far anyway
Still has lots of problems. PMS in external hard drive freezes and disconnects!!!

Update seems to have helped with external storage connections. Still can’t see PMS 5448 on any device and my laptop.
Unfortunately, it worked only until I restarted. After I restarted, I went to settings to check permissions, before running plex app. Both Plex and Plex server had “don’t allow” on Files section. I did restore to always allow, but my Plex server was already broken.
So, this fix obviously fixes nothing. Again.
The fix for the storage issue will not appear until 9.0.1+ hotfix2
