Ok, sorry. Then send the Shield to Dealer or Nvidia.
I lost once before the PMS Settings, but after a Factory Reset, it came back.
Out of warranty. Why should I send the SHIELD to the dealer or NVIDIA? It works fine. Everything on it except Plex works fine. All external drives are listed and mounted. It’s Plex that doesn’t see them.

I cant help, only factory reset was my salvation. But good luck, i hope you find a way back to your PMS Server settings.
One time before i lost a by shield formatted to internal sanddisk ssd, ssd was broken. there i also needed a factory reset, with a new ssd. And after a reset, everything was fine by me.
I reset my SHIELD and formatted my SanDisk solid state flash drive and 1 of the external HDDs and had no such luck despite all drives working fine on my computer. Hopefully ChuckPa can help.
No. Would it help? Which one (it shows 538 downloads)? How does that differ from resetting the SHIELD? Please advise. Thank you.

If i buy a new Shield, there is a working PMS on. So if i made it like Factory, it should be back again.

Because I already reset my SHIELD and it didn’t help. I have a working PMS. It works fine. Its settings are simply missing from my Plex Client app on my SHIELD. Thanks anyway, I’ll try to give it a go when I can. Hopefully ChuckPa finds an easier, less destructive solution meanwhile.

We are still looking into why it is not showing the settings. We are trying to figure out a way that you don’t loose anything.
I do suggest folks that do have their server running to enable View State Syncing so that if reinstalling or clearing the server’s app data is needed that you can at least regain watch states.

Thank you, but I already lost “everything” after reinstalling PMS and resetting the SHIELD. I do have View State Synching enabled, though, so I didn’t lose that. Regardless, I just want the option/setting back.
FWIW on my own shield the only way i was able to get it it back was to
uninstall all updates to both the Plex player app and the server. which will reset them to the very old versions installed in firmware.
From Google Play store update the sever first then update the player app and when it launches and detect the server it asks if want to enable. After that the settings showed up for me.

How do you uninstall updates? I find no such option. Only “Uninstall” (which uninstalls the app). Please advise. Thank you.
For the server app it should only have an “uninstall updates” option. I have the older 2017 Shield. If you have the 2019 shield it may be different but i didn’t think so.
to see the server app you need to scroll to bottom of apps in settings and choose “show all apps” then after that scroll to the bottom and “show system apps” because the an old version of server is installed in firmware it is considered a system app

It doesn’t. It only has an “Uninstall” option. I have the 2019 SHIELD.
