Hi, I have almost 400 TV shows on my server and all are matching fine except one.
Naming should be correct:
I want to match it to TVDB ID 364311 (BuzzFeed Unsolved: True Crime - TheTVDB.com). Seems like it matches as it pulls down the artwork but all episodes are coming up as unmatched and are missing the “air date” also:

Try and remove the - in the top level folder name for the show. Think I’ve seen previous issues reported with plex parsing folders with that in it.
If that fails then consider added the tagging id from tvdb to the folder name as per the below document. It’ll help plex match it correctly.

If you want to include the reference/ID of a show, make sure to include what reference it is.
e.g.
BuzzFeed Unsolved True Crime (2016) {tvdb-364311}
Might be because the external id over at TMDB linking to TVDB is wrong → https://www.themoviedb.org/tv/74826-buzzfeed-unsolved-true-crime/edit?active_nav_item=external_ids
I’ll create a report to have this fixed as its a locked field.
You could try BuzzFeed Unsolved True Crime (2016) {tmdb-74826} and see if that helps get it matched correctly. Otherwise we’ll need to wait for my report on tmdb to be fixed.
Rats. At least my report Reported Problem for Buzzfeed Unsolved: True Crime - Discuss Buzzfeed Unsolved: True Crime — The Movie Database (TMDB) has already been fixed which is good but we will now need to wait 48+ hours for the plex backend metadata cache to pickup this change. I’d be hopefully this will solve the problem once it makes it way to plex.

Looks like still no luck getting the episodes matched up.
I even removed the TV show, re-scanned the library, emptied trash, cleaned bundles, copied the TV show back into library, the TV show itself matches but if you go to the Unmatched Episodes view - they all come up there. Also not showing the air dates which they should.

Do you have prefer local metadata enabled? have you tried refreshing the metadata at the show level? last stab, have you done the plex dance with them?
“Prefer local metadata” is disabled. Yes, I have tried refreshing the metadata and also the plex dance as stated on my previous post.
Might be that the plex backend cache needs a forced update from the plex team due to the wrong tvdb that I fixed above.
Maybe @adriana could take a look when she has a moment.
Is there any update on this?
I have tried to re-add the show but still no luck getting the episodes matched.
