New update just released. Has anyone tried it yet?
A Plex rep is asking for server log and other info in this thread. Can anyone provide?
I just installed .836 and it works after I removed the data in the preroll option. settings-extras then cleared the preroll path field left it blank.

It seems that version 1.15.3.876-ad6e39743 did the trick, I just installed it (Ubuntu 18.04), all movies are playing with no problems. Thanks Plex.

This is frustrating, 1.15.3.876-ad6e39743 worked for a day and now I am back to square one. I had to downgrade again.
I assume you cleared the settings-extras pre roll video box so it was empty? Also you might want to post your log file for the support staff.

I was having the same problem but Iām not sure it is āclearingā the pre-roll that fixes it. Before this latest version, you put the pre-roll video in a library and then put the url link to the video in the box.
With this latest version, I started to have the same problem as you. I moved the pre-roll out of the library folder and then put the fully qualified address of the raw file in the box and it now works to play both the pre-roll and the movie.
Maybe this helps someone.

When you say you out the fully qualified address what do you mean? If you moved it out of the library did you just give it the file path on your storage?
Actually never mind that worked for me to.
Moved the file out of the library, so for instance I have G:\media\movies\ and then I have the categories broken out and thatās my movie library.
I moved it to G:\MoviePre-Roll\MoviePre-roll.mp4 and entered that path and the problem is solved.

This was my issue on v 1.15.4.919. I never setup a pre-roll and it was set to some http://plex.tv URL. Was this mistakenly defaulted in a recent version?
I have also some strange problems, when i watch some movies it works on others no chance. i get sound output but no picture. I donāt know why. it appears to be random. Any suggestions ?

Ie had the same problem since the update and Im going to try this fix and hopefully it works for me.
I just got mine to work by deleting the Pre Roll that sowed the error message i kept getting.
I will say that in my settings / Extras tab is where it showed up. not in General.

That is where mine is also. Changing that from the url to the file/OS location has worked well for me. I now have 4 separate pre-roll videos separated by a semi colon so that it randomly plays them and, so far, it has worked well.
Same for meā¦ Running Plex on DS918+ and after the update, canāt play any movies or shows and canāt add a folder to a library either!
My āMovie pre-roll videoā path is blank. Unfortunately, the problem for me persists. Any other ideas?
