Hello, I have a vbox, everything is ok with it. I can see the TV with the vbox standalone app. But when connect to the PLEX via live tv and DVR, every EPG is visible but non of the channel are playable since 1 week. (Error code 5000) I tried everything (delete the Live TV) channel reading etc. Nothing… The vbox is working normally. I am from Hungary, I use the vbox EPG xmtv.
Some friends hahe same issue(they doesn’t know how to downgrade), and I install Jellyfin on server for them.
You can download from here https://m.apkpure.com/de/plex-stream-movies-tv/com.plexapp.android/variant/9.21.3.1621-APK
After uninstall the app from your device and install old one. On me the bug restart the app after few seconds of playing. Old version works OK. I post all the problems here and contact per email plex support, but nobody cares. Maybe we must wait long time until they will fix it…
Player App. At least for me and my friends, the issues are from plex app on the phones, tablets or TV. Downgrade fix the problems. Check the video from my post. I don’t see until now any app to fail like plex app. The app is restarting then ask me to clean the cache. Wt…
If you search on reddit you will find many posts about bugs from 23 mai when they released plex Player Update.
Is possible to wait long time until developers will fix something. They can easy remove the app from play store, app store and so on. Then we can use older version until they can fix the bugs. Does not interest anyone from plex.
No idea. I understand that the apps are complicated and have many stuff inside, but for that are beta versions. To get crash reports and bugs before releasing officially.
What makes me mad is that the plex support is 0.
Just install on your server Jellyfin for backup and use Xteve
This was an issue with older Plex versions, meaning the TV channels that had spaces or special characters in their names would not work. The error was always Could not Tune the channel. This got fixed, and now it seems that it reappeared along with the latest server version. I downgraded the Plex Server ( running on windows 11 ) to 1.32.2.7100 from 1.32.3.7162 , and now Live TV works again.
Seems that the server itself is the issue, not the players.
Waiting also for an update regarding the bug and fix to know when I can start updating again the server version.
And here after I re-upgraded, and the channels with spaces or other characters do not work, while the ones that do not contain them ( very few ) are working, just like it happened last time with this issue: Plex Media Server Logs_2023-06-13_17-25-29.zip (795.1 KB)
Also an extract from the XML file that the vbox is sending ( tried to upload it here, but it does not allow xml files ):
