Some movies show in Collection but not main Library

I have a collection called Kids & Family. The hide option is not enabled or wanted. Most movies in the collection also appear in the main library as expected.

However, two movies, The Goonies (1986) and Cinderella (2015) appear only in the collection, not in the main library. (I don’t know if this is true of any other titles or collections, they’re just the instances I’ve found).

I can play the movies from the collection and from folder view. The properties for each seem normal. I tried editing the sort title to try to force some sort of refresh, to no avail. I also replaced The Goonies video file and did the Plex dance, also to no avail.

Any thoughts on why this might be and what I can do about it?

Have you already checked the sort titles of those movies?
I suspect they do show in the library… just not where you expect them to show :wink:

Plex Dance is about re-indexing an item – this has nothing to do with how they’ll display in your library.

An option about hiding movies in collections is not only present in the properties of each collection.
There is also a “global” one in the properties of the library itself.
Have you checked there as well?

Does this collection span several libraries?
