You do not have this situation due to certificate issues.

I see what looks like firewall problem (Plex Relay is starting)
I performed a reset anyway.
Please restart the server
If you still do not have remote access inbound, then I urge you to look at your firewall and port forwarding configurations.
@ChuckPa Remote Access on my PMS started showing issues a couple of days ago after years of no trouble at all. I tried what I could but nothing worked, so hereās my info and logs.
Synology DS916+
Server Version 1.20.2.3402
Like others in this thread have mentioned, thereās a green check mark next to Remote Access for a few seconds before it turns red. No clients outside my network can access the server. Port forwarding to 32400 is enabled on my router, and UPnP is also enabled.
Iām hoping itās an easy fix, thank you for looking into it.
If youāve handled the translations (bridge mode / transparent passthrough) then ok.
I looked at it and when I see cases of no remote access and this, itās usually because of double NAT. (e.g. Public -> 10.x.x.x -> 192.168.x.x type stuff)
Iām having the same problem. Iām running PLEX (latest version) on my QNAP and it was working fine then suddenly starting a few days I cannot log in remotely from my Windows 10 PC. The browser (Firefox) gets stuck in some kind of loop as if it is trying to do something but just hangs in that state. I had the same problem accessing from my Mac using Safari.
Itās not the release else the world would be screaming.
There are a lot of variables in play.
If you go to Control Panel - Shared Folders, do you have a PlexData share?
If so, does your QNAP username have access to it?
If not existing, create it
otherwise, give yourself access to the shared folder (default is to not freely grant access to anyone)
Once done,
Open FileStation
Open PlexData
2a. If you donāt see āPlex Media Serverā just stop & restart Plex then reopen File Station. Starting Plex creates the entry for you regardless what happens.
Click āPlex Media Serverā (it opens again)
RIght-click āLogsā -> Compress to Logs.zip
Let them compress
When done, download the ZIP
Upload here.
Iāll look at it.
Itās probably related to the outage at Plex.tv when certificates got messed up a bit
Chuck! having the same issue. So hereās part of my issue. I use cell service for my wifi. So it creates a double NAT so i can not enable remote access. However iāve never had an issue with indirect ( or my kids) accessing from any phone or amazon App. Any help would be appreciated Plex Media Server Logs_2020-10-10_07-28-27.zip (2.9 MB)
Hi @ChuckPa I thought Iād circle back here with my experience. (Maybe you reset my cert too? idk) Anywho⦠hereās the kung-fu I did on my end.
Signed out and shut down my Plex Server
Deleted all aged or outdated Authorized Devices shown on https://app.plex.tv/desktop#!/settings/devices/all ⦠old devices, dead accounts, old browser revs, etc. FWIW, there was only one instance of my server shown.
Waited a good while >4hr
Restarted Plex Server
Logged in, and reclaimed the server
Secure access now working again
Donāt know if you had a hand in this on your side, but things seem to be happy here and Iām getting a green lock.
Cleaning it out helped some
Shutting down and letting plex.tv cool down is the biggest part. Itās very (sometimes overly) sensitive to request rates. It gets so many normal requests that it has active DOS monitoring.
If you had asked me to look then, somewhere along the way, I probably reset it.
Otherwise, Iāve been so ācat in a room full of rocking chairsā busy that I canāt remember if yours was done or not.
If some of those are inactive / no longer in use, might you be able to assist me by removing them ? (Settings - Authorized Devices - Servers (dropdown)
