How do I fix this?
I would first check your DHCP server (modem/router ??) where the IP addresses are handed out to the Shield.
EDIT: Sometimes it’s worth it to just reboot the modem/router than reboot the shield
I can’t seem to find what you mean.
Ive tried multiple times to reboot shield and router with no success
Change to Stateful. When you use Stateless, it will fluctuate all over the place.
You might want to do a DHCP MAC reservation and lock in the IP address.
I have changed it to statefull
I already had the max address reserved to the ip
@ChuckPa is there anything else I can try?
I will speak to the dev about this. I don’t know why it’s happening.
My shield isn’t behaving this way
Looking at your logs again, this is wrong.
Primary interface IP is 0.0.0.0 ??
That screams of network configuration

@ChuckPa Primary interface IP is 0.0.0.0 ??
How do I fix it?
Cant I just reset my account and start fresh?
I checked with the development team. There have been no changes in the network code for more than 6 months.
the last change was only to add the MAC address of the adapter to the logs.
We have been seeing more isolated cases of folks Remote Access failing.
Some of them are the ISP blocking Plex.tv
Some are filtering port 32400-32500
Have you tried setting a manual port forward for external port 51413 (or 31415) – or something perhaps common with an app you don’t use? (like Skype?)
@ChuckPa It’s forwarded to 5555. No other app is using it as far as I know. Should I change it?
confirm?
- Your WAN port is 5555 ?
- You have manual port forwarding of 5555/tcp → 32400/tcp on the PMS server ?
- Settings - Server - Remote Access - Manually specify port = 5555 ?
Yes Settings - Server - Remote Access - Manually specify port = 5555
And I forwarded the port on my router
32400 - > 5555
That’s backwards.
Port forward from WAN 5555 → Server IP:32400
the server is hard coded for 32400 (because of the LAN)
we tell Plex.tv how to get through the firewall/router (the 5555 port)
@ChuckPa
These are my router port forwarding and plex settings
Thanks for showing. Your router is a bit backwards so when you shared, I misunderstood it backwards too . ![]()
@ChuckPa can you please lift the ip block?
Same problem.
I update to the latest version of your website and claim the server but there is no way. Uninstall, reinstall…
Revised router and firewall of the nas (Qnap)
If i click in “log in” i will go to the first picture here and i can’t claim the server.
I have solved it… thanks
Disregard, its not you its me…
For some reason linux forgot its default gateway
