I hope the logs help
Hey, I lost remote access 4-5 days ago. Running a Nvidia shield Plex server which was updated about the same time. Wierd thing is that I get a green check for remote access, but no android devices (phone, tablets, or Chromecast devices) can reach the server remotly. But here’s the wierd part: Apple devices stream just fine remotely (but with the warning that it’s not a direct connection).
Can you check my certificate please.
Thank you.
I’m also having issues with remote access and Chromecast too it seems
Your certs are fine. They are new.
Did you just update PMS right around the time you lost Remote Access ?
Hi, after years of my Plex server working remotely, it doesn’t work remotely anymore. I have checked the port forwarding and it is seen externally. When I try to connect to it I get the message that a secure connection cannot be established. I have disabled remote access for an hour as suggested. Also after resolving a login issue in having to go in and delete the information in the configuration .xml file, it seemed fine. Now my external access doesn’t work. So port forwarding is working, upnp is enabled but a secure connection doesn’t seem to be able to be established. Do I need a certificate reset? I’m wondering whether my previous issue where I let an apple TV log into Plex and it duplicated my account and took my server allocation away from my main account and gave it to the Apple username, deleting the login info from the XML file and re-logging it in via the QNAP NAS got it working in my local network but not externaly.
So this all came about by letting my new Apple TV log in with Apple rather than a username and password. My Plex server then didn’t show up in my account when I launched the app from my QNAP as it seemed to re-associate it with a newly generated account name that seemed to be automatically made by logging the apple tv in. I deleted that account and then deleted the entry from the configuration XML and then that allowed my QNAP app to see it again as allocated to my main account. However, ever since then, the server can’t get a secure connection externally. I did update the Plex server as part of this process and I’m thinking that the new certificate implementation still has an issue with the server getting allocated to the auto-generated apple account. Would a certificate reset potentially solve this issue?
Yes that’s correct… all Android devices lost remote connection around the same time…
Can we try an experiment please ? It will help me with diagnosis.
Confirm DEBUG logging is enabled.
Using the version you downgraded to, demonstrate Remote Access works with a short playback session over LTE / remote.
Download those logs ZIP file
Now upgrade to the PMS version which fails and repeat the exact same test.
Again, download the logs ZIP file
Attach both please.
Hi!
Where can i get this 1.32.4.7195 if its the one that works?
Also, I noticed that when I go to the Dashboard, The Bandwidth, CPU and RAM seems not to work. I started a movie remotely and I show no change on the dashboard. Here is a picture:
Which distro and processor do you need ? (there are many flavors
)
Bandwidth not registering is something about your host network config.
I don’t have that issue here nor has anyone reported it so far (to my knowledge)
Your Debug logs will show whether PMS can talk to the broadcast address of the subnet or not.
Hi!
I posted my logs earlier. 160/173 Aug 7th

You have the older version already stored on your machine (where PMS installer keeps its updates) .
I there was a post (146) about windows 11 version 1.32.4.7195 that was good.
Hello I’m using Plex on My Cloud Home Duo and it’s saying that the server is unavailable. It was working fine earlier until I restarted the NAS and now it won’t connect. Please help.
Server stopped working a few weeks ago. I have checked the options multiple times and I don’t know why it won’t work. It says it is available remote but then doesn’t. I don’t know how to send logs or anything but I just want some help please.
