Version hopping usually causes more problems than it helps. Also, as your NAS is running DSM 7.2.2, do not try to install the DSM 7 version of PMS (it should fail to install).
Please do the following:
- Set the NAS DNS to 8.8.8.8 (Google).
- Sync the NAS with a public NTP server: Control Panel → Regional Options → Time tab.
You will see Status: Normal if properly synchronized. - Restart the NAS.
- Follow Synology FAQ 31: Reset / Reclaim PMS on DSM 7 (Not Authorized - Locked Out).
If it goes well, you will see “PlexMediaServer claimed by username”, and you should be able to access the server.
If you are unable to generate the claim code or you see a message that Plex Media Server cannot communicate with plex.tv, then there is a network problem preventing communication. Verify the network settings (IP address & mask, default gateway) and try again.
If it still does not work, (1) Stop Plex Media Server; (2) Using File Manager, navigate to the Plex Data Folder; (3) Right click on the Logs directory and choose Compress to Logs.zip; and (4) download the zip file and post to the thread.
