Synology NAS Plex not finding any files

Server Version#: DSM 7.1.1-42962 Update 2
Player Version#: 1.29.2.6364

I just got this NAS (DS920+) the other day and set everything up with some old drives while I waited for the new ones to arrive, everything worked fine, then I reset everything once I received the new drives and set it up all over again from scratch.

Now when I install plex and add my libraries nothing is showing up at all.

I have made sure the read/write permissions are enabled. I even went as far as installing the logs in the same parent folder as the media so I know that the read/write is working.

Nothing is showing up though and I don’t even know what to do at this point.

Still sounds like a permission issue… to which user/account did you grant permission to your library folder? With DSM 7 this should be PlexMediaServer – not plex.

I just dropped a random movie in and it found it immediately.

Maybe there is something wrong with the naming scheme or that inside the movie folder each of the movies are in a folder as well.
