Tagging DVD Order Issues

I’m trying to get Seinfeld Season 3 to tag properly via TVDB.

There is a double episode at s03e15. On TVDB the order is:

3x12 - The Suicide
3x13 - The Subway
3x14 - The Pez Dispenser
3x15 - The Boyfriend (1)
3x15 - The Boyfriend (2)
3x16 - The Fix-Up

I have my files named:

Seinfeld - s03e12 - The Suicide
Seinfeld - s03e13 - The Subway
Seinfeld - s03e14 - The Pez Dispenser
Seinfeld - s03e15 - The Boyfriend
Seinfeld - s03e16 - The Fix-Up

For some reason, ‘The Boyfriend’ always comes up as ‘The Suicide’ no matter what I try.

Can anyone help?!

Embedded meta tags, perhaps. (only in mp4/m4v files)

Clear them out or modify them to the correct title.

After changing the episode order to ‘DVD’, think of Refreshing Metadata for the whole show.

That being said: in the current state of TheTVDB website, you cannot be sure if they have all the DVD episode numbers correct. There is always the risk of these to be incomplete.

Thanks for the reply Otto.

I can’t embed as these are clean MKVs, I don’t want to convert to M4V.

I cleared the library, loaded only that season, refreshed, renamed, tried everything but it’s still not showing correctly.

I just want a way of preserving the correct data on my shows… I used to use the nfoimporter, but it doesn’t work me since the last server update. Are there any other options? I’ve used Plex for years, but seriously thinking of switching to Emby at the moment…

What makes you think that? metadata agents should keep on working since they don’t need any user interface aside from the settings under Agents.

Ever tried the proper Plex Dance?

It was working fine for a couple of years, noticed it wasn’t working properly after the last update, tried re-installing and now Plex doesn’t recognise it at all. It’s not ideal anyway to be honest… I’m happy to switch to proper naming instead, but when Plex still doesn’t allow any kind of manual matching for episodes it gets really frustrating.

Thanks for Plex Dance suggestion anyway, haven’t tried that so will give it a go!
