I don’t understand your question. Depends on the speed netowrk interfaces if wifi or ethernet might be better or not. Wifi can be affected by the walls if device is really far from wifi point location.

My router is only a few inches away from the apple TV. or a few meters. that’s enough inches. I have been told that wifi can be a challenge for Plex. such as if there is interference or other things. Will an Ethernet cable not solve the problem I have. The fact that my Plex says that the connection to the server is not strong enough to play this movie. If you think ethernet might solve your problem then get an ethernet cable and try it. Without logs all anyone can do is make random guesses.
