I had the same issue and found a solution that doesn’t require a secondary install. Hope it helps someone. Solution: There was an unexpected error when going to settings page
This is one that finally worked for me. Thanks!
I have reproduced the problem using an old TiVo lineup id and I have referred it to the Plex Web development team
Thank you. I cant get this to work with my hdHomerun.
Are you using the DVR now first time after it was last used over a year ago with our TiVo lineups?
We switched to Gracenote in December 2020
Debug server logs covering time of you attempting to load DVR settings and set it up would have the information needed to confirm if this was an old TiVo lineup that is in the database
I’m getting the same “There was an unexpected error” when I click Live TV and DVR. I would say i have not used it for over a year.
What version of the server are you running?
Have you already completed ALL the steps in this post: Live TV EPG - The update you’ve been waiting for .
Must be the issue with having an old no longer existing lineup referenced in the database
This is currently with the development team
Debug Server log at the time of the failure would show what lineup is being used
If the problem is the one relating to an old lineup that no longer exists (eg old TiVo lineup from 2020 or earlier) - there is a workround on the forum but it involves editing the Plex Media Server database
See Workaround: There was an unexpected error when going to settings page - Live TV & DVR - Plex Forum
The issue is currently with the Plex Web development team to address
Awesome. this worked. thanks so much
USE this solution works perfect…!! no need to reset and recreate fst and easy …
