I’ve been going through and adding a bunch of old 80’s and 90’s TV shows recently and I’ve hit a roadblock with an Australian TV show called Ferry Boat Fred.
Once added to my library Plex doesn’t show it at all.
You can see the copying of the files to the server trigger a scan but then it never shows up in Recently Added. It also doesn’t show up when you try search for it.
My TV Show library is using the ‘Plex TV Series’ agent.
All of the file names are correct including the folder.
I even tried to add the tmdb-20129 id into the folder name but that didn’t help.
I did notice that TVDB (1891719) was showing it as first aired in 1992 but TMDB (20129) is showing it as aired in 1991. Originally I had it as 1992 as that’s what Sonar had it as, I tried changing the folder and file names to 1991 but still nothing.
The permissions on the file and folder are the same as all my other content. It’s hosted on unraid so it’s set to nobody:users
All files are .mp4’s and playable
I’ve got a suspicion it might be due to the two different listed years and the agent not being able to decide on one maybe?
Can you provide folder/file names? I dont follow the naming schema 100% but Id use Ferry Boat Fred {tvdb-394549}/Ferry Boat Fred - S01E01 - <title>.<ext> format myself. Along with the server logs ? mgiht also try doing the plex dance. As a side note I do not use the automatic scan feature If plex tries to scan the files as they are still being copied into their location plex may see an incomplete file and just ignore them.
After all the file modifications I’ve been doing the past two weeks I can’t believe I didn’t catch that. Fresh set of eyes helps. I’ve been trying to figure this out for days!!.
Sonarr doesn’t have any of the episodes listed so I had to rename the files myself, it would explain it if my first copy was incorrect they would all have it.
My naming scheme does follow what you mentioned but in Linux the spaces show up as backslashes.
All good now thanks heaps
