TV Show Stopped adding metadata mid way through season

Plex seems to have stopped adding metadata to Murdoch Mysteries in Season 17, Episodes 13-24. The last half of the season That is currently all the seasons I have. I don’t know if thill will affect later seasons.

I added the first half of season 17, then waited a couple months before adding the second half. When added, the second half didn’t pull in any metadata and the episodes just show “Episode 13” etc.

I have tried refreshing metadata for the series, and for individual episodes, I’ve done the Plex Dance with the entire show, but no improvement.

I have also added other TV shows and episodes since this problem appeared and those shows have problems. It seems to only be Murdoch Mysteries S17.

Any ideas why this might happen, or how I can troubleshoot this?

I’m guess you have your default show ordering set to TVDB? I looked at Season 17 on TMDB and it looks like there are missing external IDs pointing back to TVDB.

Do you have lots of the Specials? If not, TMDB ordering would help you out.

Oh yep. I totally forgot about the ordering. I’m using the TVDB (DVD) ordering. And that for some reason is missing everything after S17E12.

Weird. Just looked at S17E13 on TMDB & TVDB (DVD) and it looks like the correct external ID is on TMDB.

Wait… I just a refresh on TMDB and now I’m seeing external IDs for S17E16 and beyond. Perhaps someone went in and added the after your original post. Give Plex a few days to ingest the new data and then do a refresh.
