Would be helpful if you could take a snap shot of the page that your talking about.
and post it here…
Same here, it dosen’t load.
Hah. I thoguht it was an issue with my plex server. Deleted the TV libarary and remade it. Now very few TV shows metadata are loading at all.
Yup. It’s now a waiting game… Not sure when they will restore services.
An in this case: except the agent is not up and working.
Looks like there’s something wrong somewhere between Plex and TheTVDb.com resulting in matching requests to time out. So as someone put it above: now it’s about waiting…
Everyone look here. This is the issue. Not naming conventions, not organizational problems . . . it’s a problem with TVDB and that’s it. Follow that issue until the problem is resolved.
That is correct; unfortunately it has nothing to do with the naming convention, at least in this instance… This is how my library looks like now.
What is concerning is that they’ve been working on this issue since March 11th. We are going into March 15th, with no resolution in sight, and no updates from the TVDB team.

It’s a TVDB issue. Please stop flooding the thread with misinformation and incorrect solutions.
Could we split off the discussion about matching into a different topic and stick to the TVDB in this one? Would be greatly appreciated!
Agreed, I had to wade through pointless posts in this topic just to find the root cause of the problem. TVDB is down for all reasonable purposes for anyone just joining us. When the issue is resolved, I’m sure it will be reported here.
Agreed. @JuiceWSA thanks for recommendations and effot, but this is a TVDB issue.
TVDb API has had issues for 4 or 5 days going by their forum…
They are aware of the issues… Hopefully they will get it fixed soon…
edit:
that 4 or 5 days for the current problem, it affects all APPs that try to get to their database.
Context matters. The topic of file naming came up only because another user posted about a matching/sorting issue in this thread. Rather than ignore them or tell them to start their own thread, @JuiceWSA attempted to help them understand why that issue might occur. The post has since been removed. It didn’t suggest that the metadata issue was caused by incorrect naming, only that the other user’s episode/season sorting issue was.
I removed my posts.
There is a problem and it’s more severe for some than others. I added Blue Bloods EWhatever a few minutes ago - 3 minutes later it got metadata. Over here it’s (very) slow, but still functional. Eventually.
Match Failures (ongoing) is here:
If ya think ya got one Plex should be aware of, bring it over there and we’ll test it out.
I have the same issue, the Movie DB agent is working however. I had a lot of issues today and slowness with filebot it drove it me mad
Getting the same thing, Both TV shows and Movies aren’t updating with synopsis. info, posters etc.
Just spins forever once you select the correct thing via fix match.
Maybe this has something to do with it. Plex
No, it doesn’t. Stop spreading FUD.
