Server Version#: 1.28.2.6106-44a5bbd28
Player Version#: 4.89.1 (local and app.plex.tv)
So, I just did something very stupid I read the thread about tokens only getting reset, when Sign out connected devices after password change was checked. I wanted to be sure, that I did this. So I reset my password again with Sign out connected devices after password change checked (worked okay before).
Then I lost access to my PMS (404 - connection refused). Made the changes in Preferences.xml no change - rebooted, no change. I got access to PlexWeb by using the hostname (and not the local ip). Then it started a completely new configuration of PMS (libraries etc). I cancelled this action (on the second screen). I then tried the local ip, and I got the same window - with existing libraries. That resulted in, that I now had two instances on the same named PMS (QNAP). I wanted to delete the old one - BUT i picked the wong one. So now I’m kinda f*****.
Question. I have a backup of all DB’s (multiple daily backup). Is there any way, that I can get the deleted instance back? … or is it time to reinstall PMS, for the first time in like +7 years?
Note: This is not extremely important right now! You guys have had enough to take care of the last 24 hours …
So I have “partly” managed to get it back. I keep hitting the wall on Not Authorized after claiming the server. I am on the same subnet as the QNAP NAS.
I have tried what ChuckPa suggested here. No luck though.
I enter my credentials (incognito mode, alert box shows the correct NAS IP). Then this page is shown and all libraries are “gone” again - including the Server section under Settings.
Preferences.xml is updated with the new attributes (PlexOnlineUsername, PlexOnlineEmail, PlexOnlineToken, PlexOnlineHome) though. It is marked as claimed when browsing: http://nas-ip-address:32400/identity
Everyting works locally (local network) now. The only challenge I have right now is, that everything external (ex. app.plex.tv) seams to be partially unavailable. Libraries are visible, but not accessible. Could this possiblly be a SSL cert thing?
