I am on version 8.20.1.26670 now and I feel like the issue happens less frequently now, although it does still happen and the delay varies from play-to-play, etc.
I will try to spend some time today testing and grabbing sample files for you.

Adding new TV shows & movies to my server, I noticed that the Recently Added TV & Recently Added Movie Hubs are not updating on my Android TV(Shield) homescreen unless I force quit the app, etc.

I have recently dug my Shield out of storage to test out the Plex app once again(do this every month or so to see if the app has improved) and I experienced issues with random episodes not being marked as watched.
Yesterday, I watched the majority of Season 3 of The Office, only to find that the Shield did not mark these as watched as it should have. S3E11 - S3E19.

I have a collection of TV shows called “Favorites” of random shows that my SO & I like to shuffle from when we can’t decide to watch/need some background noise.
The Plex app on Android TV fails to shuffle this collection. The play queue is “built” and the client attempts to play a random episode, but I am met with the spinning wheel and nothing ever loads.

This was reported back in 2020 and still not fixed - Played Status Not Updated in Library View on Android TV - what needs to be done to get this fixed?
Marking as watched from the library view with a long press on an item does not update that item’s poster, view, etc. when in library view.

The Recommended tab on my Android TV display does not display the appropriate item count for my “Recent Playlists” hub. This occurs on the 2019 Shield Pro. Just experienced this weird issue on the Shield where the loading of certain hubs was completely broken to the point where you need to fully exit/open another app before the hubs will load. Not only are the hubs blank, they are completely un-clickable.

Sorting by Audience Rating/Critic Rating is broken on Android TV (and Android mobile) clients.
In the movie library, sorting by Audience Rating should look like this - “Popcorn score” sorting. The same is true for Critic Rating - should be sorted “Tomato score.” Both scores are displayed, etc.

Autoplay doesn’t continue to next season on the Android TV app. The app will just sit there, displaying the last episode that was played on the left hand side, but it will not register that there are other seasons/episodes after it and will not continue on to the next season.

Randomly, the Android TV app will not properly update the Season pre-play screen with the current status of an episode.
