Understood and thanks for the update.
Is there anything I need todo (I believe these have all already been reported with the form)?

Well I can answer this for you - it’s wrong right now…
The schedule is (frighteningly) 1:20 hrs out. The x4 back-back “friends” episodes started at 12:10 and Plex shows it starting at 13:30 (1hr 20 mins later).
Can you please make sure this channel is marked as “still not solved”? …I don’t need to fill in a form again on this, do I?
OK, weirder…
I just refreshed again and now it is showing this:
Something strange going on with the display of Ch.5
View it at 12:00 and Friends is ok, but a small extra block of Mr Deeds
View it at 12:30 and Mr Deeds is ok but Friends has a small block
you and I are seeing the same thing. I posted one above you. The first episode of “Friends” finished (on the grid) before 1pm then, although the details as the same as yours.
That small extra block is also there on the Freeview website. “Mr. Deeds” is/was actually split 5 min show at 11:35 called “access” which Plex is not picking up.
So, looking at the Cricket for tomorrow shows that the following channels are just completely wrong…
new (for me, at least)
Does anyone else feel like this is a little too much effort for a paid service? If we don’t report the issues, they will never get fixed (because there is no evidence to support Plex is checking this themselves). If we do report the issues, maybe they will get fixed (using Paramount experience there).
My stats have gone from 25% bad channels to 33% bad channels. Is this really worth the frustration and effort?
I have given up on it
Plex wont fix errors unless they are reported, if they cant be bothered to check it’s accurate why should I
If they fix it and get it mostly correct, I will report more issues and start using it again
For now, I have zero confidence in it, too many errors each time i look at it
Yep, I think this is where I get off (this bus, train, whatever).
@markcs is working on a script to pull from Freeview UK and I will continue to test it for him. If it works, I’ll use that as my EPG source and share it here. In the meantime, thanks for that steer on NextPVR - it works sooo much better than Plex.
[edit: Typos and clarified what I meant by “get off” - it sounded better In my head
)]
interested to hear how that script works for pulling in the EPG data, never managed to get external EPG pulled into apps, just use the built in option
We just need more people from the UK to complain about the EPG, Plex might take it more seriously then
lol at your edit, re reading after that sounds like a bad Carry on movie
haha - yes, it could well have come from a Carry On!
He has the script working for Australia so have high hopes he can do it for us. He’s writing it in Perl and is taking his info from here.
Replacing meridian in the URL with your area (accepted areas listed here) produces the EPG in JSON format for your area. Mark then parses that into xmltv for Plex (or anything) to read.
I have looked into the channel 105 epg data to look into the 5 minute difference but the problem is more than that - we have overlapping episodes - could be old program data not being purged-
I have collected the diagnostics for this and referred to our epg team
Please be aware that for every reported problem, it may take many hours to investigate and gather the right diagnostics for the team that needs to investigate
Is “Sara” a typo? I’m not being funny - I’m not sure what you mean by that.
Who are they? I don’t know that acronym.
totally get it. That’s why we keep asking for a status on the reported issues. It lets us know that the problem is acknowledged, being worked on, fix being tested, fix being rolled out, ETA of roll out etc etc. You’d get a lot less questions (and no repeat questions). …but right now, when we report something, we don’t even know if it has been read or missed. …and some have been missed.
Yes typos with fat fingers on iPhone and interval in the theatre was coming to end any second
I edited the post
No issues via the google feedback forms will be missed but doubling up here does help
Got it - thanks.
Seems @JCHH has a valid point and it looks like I’ve missed a lot of stuff as I’ve been out with the family!
Right now I’m still running the Wales OTA lineup, through choice as @sa2000 knows my dislike for the current fix, and I await, if any a fix being dealt for the lineup that he advised us to use in the first place.
Once I’ve settled my daughter I’ll have a quick look at the guide before heading to bed myself. I’ll report any channels that need fixing, but I’m afraid it’s getting a little too much now for me, with everything that’s going on, I’ve ashtray started Tvheadend off and got Antennas seeing Tvheadend without any issues, I’ve just got to point Plex DVR to the network address of antennas and I’ll have a better guide and channel lineup as it’ll be the official Welsh OTA DTT EPG not messed up by TiVo/Rovi… I can’t type what I call Rovi here as Plex forums will just blank the word, but for kids sake, raspberry is fitting name, just like Gracenote was Grapefruit!!
Keep those fruit based providers coming, but from what I’ve now read on websites, Rovi wouldn’t have been my choice of provider, especially being a US based company with no knowledge of UK TV at all.

Anyone else missing ITV2 epg for today
Just gets ITV2 programming, then data starts back from midnight
Done a refresh guide but it hasnt come back
Same here - ITV2 +1 is also the same except it returns to normal at 01:00 tomorrow as you would expect being +1 ![]()
Channel 5 also has a “To Be Announced” between 00:00 and 01:00 which if I expand states the following:
As a brit I’m not too happy with the American date format but why 7/24/16 ?
It seems there are a bunch of other date related issues for other shows without episode data. ITV Lunchtime news for example is showing as 6/11/19 for what I presume should have an original air date of today (14/07/19).
Then if I scroll the guide right then the shows start to shift around and Family Guy on ITV2 for example crashes into Love Island:
This is with PMP v2.37.2 (UI v3.104..1) and server v1.16,2,1297.
News has always had the wrong date for me, few weeks behing
For the dates, I know some areas still have forced US date/time formats, but check under settings, web client, general, make sure it is set to English (UK) and not just English

Cheers @paulsalter. I did check for a Date Setting before posting but I must admit I didn’t expect it to be accomplished through a Language Setting - It must be my naivety kicking in ![]()
I have changed to English (UK) and these dates look lovely now - although wrong ![]()
