The main issue with using the OTA data is it would kill series record instantly
Non of the broadcasters supply Season/Episode numbers correctly, if they do bother, it’s just in the episode description field
For watching TV, it would be fine
Ok - I see that would be an issue however I was thinking as a backup/failover solution.
Of course it would allow manual recording as well as watching TV - in some cases we can’t even do that at the moment.

As a backup it would be a good option
I use NextPVR along side Plex for my recordings, and in that i can select either Schedules Direct (equivelant of Gracenote that Plex had) or the OTA guide
Have any of you guys got a recommendation for an alternative source of EPG data whilst Plex get their act together?
In my case, I lose Paramount tonight (Freeview OTA) and therefore lose recording shows off Paramount.

Just seen this. Can you recommend it?
I would highly recommend it, had it installed for years with no issues (I do pay for the EPG, but you can use the OTA one for free)
The interface looks a bit old fashioned, but feature wise very good
I only moved to Plex so i could get an all in one solution

Well I have it downloaded and installed and running. There are no instructions and it is asking me for my login and password. …back to the forums!!
This has now been confirmed as an error by our provider and has fixed the issue. It will be 2-3 days before it feeds into their live guide data and into our guide.

The solution is moot, however, unless they also fix the complete lack of any data for Paramount (as of midnight last night). Did they confirm that also and will also solve it in the same timeframe?

Hi - just noticed that 105 Channel 5 HD is completely wrong for Freeview Meridian/Central OTA Broadcast.
Should I continue to report these here or using the form or both or what?

I know it is more work but safer to do both - if i miss it here - then someone else would pick from the form. Also the form is fairly structured capturing lineup name and post code as well
done.
In addition, I have also found that 019 Dave has incorrect info (I added examples to check against in the online form).

So both 019 Dave and 079 Fave Ja Vu are showing the correct feed but are 1 hour out (similar to Paramount before we lost that feed entirely).
019 Dave has “Reservoir Dogs” starting at 21:00, but it should should start at 22:00
079 Dave Ja Vu has “Reservoir Dogs” starting at 22:00 but it should should be start at 23:00

Both these shows have the wrong episode number
Not sure how long it’s going to take to get it all fixed, but i have lost all confidence in this new epg provider
