Player Version#: Web Player
Good Morning, After enabling MFA on my Plex account I no longer have access to my Plex Media Server running on my Synology NAS.
Notes:
I run PMS through Package Center on my Synology
When I log into my plex account I get a prompt for what Home User to choose and then go to the main screen in Plex. There is no reference to my local server in the web app
This happens when I access Plex via plex.tv or accessing it via the private ip address from the same subnet as my PMS.
I have tried this from Firefox and Edge.
I have tried it in Private sessions and after deleting all cookies.
I have updated it
I have stopped PMS, edited the preferences.xml to remove the four PlexOnline* attribute/key pairs, started PMS.
When I go to settings in the browser when logged into my plex account there is only the heading on the left of my username and then “Plex Web”. There used to be all the settings for my local server.
When I log in and choose the other Home User (the non-admin home user)I see the Pinned libraries of my server with a yellow triangle. When I click to access it, it says “Not authorized You do not have access to this server”
What am I missing? Why can’t I access my library?
@dane22 I have no option on the sidebar for my server. So, there is nothing to claim. I ran the claimit third party app, and it doesn’t find a PMS on my network either.
I have WIN10 32bit and I enabled (and it is still enabled) 2FA
I deleted my PMS.
I reinstalled PMS.
From this URL http://127.0.0.1:32400/web/index.html#!/get-plex-media-server
I select YOUR MEDIA
Then it tells me to “GET PLEX MEDIA SERVER” and then just downloads PMS to install again. There’s no option to add my media.
@dane22 That did the trick! It looks back to normal now.
I also re-enabled 2FA. I disabled it 9/7 to see if that was related. When I enabled it now, I didn’t select the “sign out all servers and sessions”. It’s still working now.
