No, it’s a new installation. When I go to http://[Syno-IP-address]:32400/web I see the “Install Plex Media Server” message even though it’s already installed.
I can’t see my server anywhere, so I can’t do method #1. I’ll have to try method #2 for DSM 6.x next time I attempt to install it.
This guide says my computer needs to be in the same subnet as the NAS. I’m connecting to the network through a VPN. The synology IP is 192.168.x.x and my IP is 10.x.x.x. Could this be the problem? I can access the synology using 192.168.x.x without issues though…
