Unable to claim server in Plex or during installation running on Synology DS1522+

DSM 6 or 7 – Should be DSM 7

What is the LAN IP address of the Syno ?
Is it connected to the modem/router → Internet ?

It doesn’t take much to claim it.

The “New or Lost” servers option (Plex Claim Token method)
plus clicking then pasting the token from “Get Plex claim Token” into the box.

is all it takes. It will confirm with your Plex Username.

If it is empty.. then the Syno can’t get out to the internet to talk to plex.tv

The only limitation is the Claim Token expires after 5 minutes .. Don’t waste time.
