Unable to log into my account

Hi,

For the last couple of days, i have been unable to log into my Plex server from any device using either apps or the web interface. Whenever i try from a browser, i get the error “Internal Server Error. Something went wrong at our End”

Then i connect to the web interface of the server locally i find my server is now unclaimed. When i try to claim it, i am sent back to the login page when then gives me the same error.

I have read somewhere that this could be related to Tidal but i am unable to disable it because i can’t log in.

Does any one have any ideas?

Grrrrr. You turned off DEBUG. Everything I need to see has DEBUG.
I can’t do anything with this.

Since you can’t get into it normally to enable, we need do it manually.

  1. Stop plex.

  2. As root, edit the Preferences.xml file

  3. Before the ending /> place logDebug="1"

  4. Save the file

  5. Confirm plex:plex (or the runtime user) owns it.

  6. Start Plex.

  7. Now see what happens and generates some logs (which we’ll manually capture again.

  8. Also please turn DEBUG back on (the default) and leave VERBOSE OFF

i see playback from already signed-in devices (attempting) but nothing substantical
I see the browser coming in too (loading) but no authentication.

This is for Synology but because browser & plex.tv are the main components here, physical host platform is immaterial.

Do you see this or the pure “Something has gone wrong” while attempting to load?
(Control F5 is the usual cure for that – list length being loaded).

It looks to me like there is a problem with the cloud service. I get the something went wrong error when I try to follow these instructions. I have shut down my server for now just to make sure there was nothing being caused by that.

Because I can’t log in, I tried resetting my password with the forgot password link but this has made no difference.

So I just created a new plex account and managed to use that one to claim the server. Everything is working fine with this new account.
