Unfortunately my NAS is a ReadyNAS 2100 and I am currently unable to change any settings on the NAS as the Protocol for getting into the web interface is no longer supported.
The NAS does support NFS but until I build an old computer with an old browser I will not be able to change the NAS to use NFS.
By what I understand Plex is not supporting SMB1 anymore, is this correct?
I understand not supporting SMB1 but not supporting a drive letter I don’t understand, what does it matter how the drive letter is connected to the source it is just a drive letter and should still access the data.
Also I have 10 TB of data on this NAS, it has 4 x 4TB drives giving my 11.2 TB and it is almost full. I will be looking at a new NAS but like everything else I want it costs $$$.
Excellent work, thank you everyone at Plex. This is why we support you in this product; something unforseen stops working, users report it and within a few days you have it fixed! I’ll be installing this update once my machine is fully populated and back in production. P.S. Please continue supporting SMB1 (even though it is insecure) because otherwise many old but useful storage devices will get thrown away. Thanks
With DVR Recordings into these network shares remaining , I have now sent you a 1.32.2.7002 alpha build to try and let me know if that fixes the recording issues
Whilst we have made changes to fix the errors encountered during traversing directories on network shares using SMB1 and DrivePool setups / symlinks - there are user reports that media is not being added to the library after a scan
This might help I had the same problem, what I discovered was, that I was not adding the titles and episodes correctly, they were mislabeled e.g. Skinwalker Ranch (S01R01) correct is S01E01 after I corrected the titles they all loaded.
