Unexpected error when going to Live TV & DVR Settings

For the plex devs, looks like we’re getting s.channels as undefined here. And when it tries to run reduce on undefined, it blows up.

Error from js console says…

TypeError: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'reduce')

Thx to everyone on this post. I resolved this issue with help from this post as its the most informative on this issue that I have found. There is no need to “rebuild” anything. Simply leave your existing server running that has the Live TV/DVR issue and download this server on a different computer and run it. Download Plex Media Server 1.24.3.5033 for Mac free | Uptodown.com. Connect with your login to this old version 1.24.3.5033 and simply just use that version to delete your Live TV/DVR. Then kill that version.
This will allow you to re-setup the Live TV and DVR on version 1.25.1.5286 and all will be good. Plex should really address this in a cleaner way IMO. Merry Christmas.

Oh dear freakin’ holy shiznit! That FIXED IT!

Why in the entire wide world isn’t the PLEX DEV TEAM not fixing this!!! All I had to do was what “The Dude” very simply suggested–revert back to a version of PMS that isn’t f**ked. I’ve spent HOURS on this issue. I’m just grateful that I backed up my existing DBs before I blew them away to start over. I put them back and installed it on another Mac I have, ripped through a quick (I don’t care what I install) setup and there was the TV tuner, ready to be deleted. Boom, gone. Boom, back into the original setup and I could easily setup a new TV tuner.

Wow…best Christmas present EVAR! Thanks, man!

Same issue on Windows on latest update, Tried your method using a 2nd PC and same problem, This is so dumb. anyone else know of w rokaround?

There was an unexpected error
Please visit our forums if you continue to experience problems still for me

did you use the downgrade version ?

Yes, I used a 2nd pc and installed an older version of PMS, I forget what version but it was from earlier this year and tried it without success, Im just at a loss. I miss the old days when I wouldn’t have issues for years at a time lol. I’m just trying to get a simple 1 channel rick and morty 24/7 thing going for my wife as that’s her favorite thing to watch when going to bed or just chilling. She wants it just to play an episode then go in sequence with all of the funny adult swim shorts in between which I had working perfectly in dizque TV with over 100 something “commercials” which were all rick and morty themed shorts. It was really damn cool when it was working and was a bedrock for a giant live TV lineup I was planning to setup in the future. But with problems like this it makes that impossible. Honestly, using your own library for a guide with commercial brakes should be built in functionality to plex but whatever. I also can’t stop it from “recording” the episodes that I obviously already have in the library even though I never told it to record lol.

I’m having this exact issue on my QNAP TVS-672N NAS. Seems QNAP doesn’t host older versions any longer on their front-end page. Does anyone know where to get the 1.24.3.5033 version everyone is referencing to fix this issue for QNAP devices?

I’m seeing my HD-Homerun pop-up on the screen briefly after clearing cache but the issue persists without the opportunity to clear the old DVR out of the system.

Edit: I had an old version in my downloads folder - PlexMediaServer-1.23.4.4805. Installed and was then able to remove my old DVR from the system like everyone else in the thread.

Thank you soo much, this problem was driving me insane until i tried your solution.
I downloaded 1.24.5033 from another source onto a different machine.
Logged into that server… went over to my original server and nuked the DVR from the second machine.

This allowed me to reinstall it on my original server without having to reinstall and rebuild my entire database.

Download Plex Media Server 1.24.3.5033 for Mac free | Uptodown.com try that version. Worked for a lot of folks here.

I don’t have a Mac but I tried those older versions originally on windows anyways. I can try other versions and retry the process again.

Need the windows version. Found that here. https://filecombo.com/product/plex-media-server/13a8d98f6bc94b18964ff7e3cc23d7a7

Trying it right now on the 2nd PC correct? then ill also try from app.plex.tv, 127.x.x.x and local host and see if any of those work.

It worked… I swear i tried that version initially when troubleshooting so my apologies. Thank you so much though. Now I just need to troubleshoot the performance of DizqueTV lol

Debug Server Logs covering the time of the problem - failure to setup the DVR would allow me to start an investigation for your issue
