Video plays for a second and ends

FreeNAS server/Sony Android TV client local/hardwired. Every play of a new video ends within 2 seconds, as everyone has mentioned. This bug isn’t so bad considering it doesn’t happen randomly in the middle of playing a video, only at the beginning. I would like to know what the issue is, if it’s been looked at currently. Glad I’m not alone

Which is almost a month ago, and still no fix. They are aware of it though.

Have had this issue for a while now, does anyone have any info how long it will take for the fix to come out.

As soon as they realize their new apps are garbage and full of features people don’t want like podcasts. In other words, don’t hold your breath.

Same issue for me. Affecting Sony Android TV and multiple Android Phones.

same here, amazon fire tv sticks x3 and a fire tv (box).

Me too, Galaxy Tab tablet, Fire Sticks and a FireTV - maybe other clients but I’m certain I’ve experienced it firsthand with those listed. Been having this issue for several months.

Any updates? There have been a few videos that require 2-4 restarts before it takes and I can watch the content…

Is there a configurable buffer on the client or server we could change?

Count me in to the issue as well. Happens on my Android TV (Sony XBR75X900E) and FireTV, as well as my android app on my phone. It only happens to me that I notice on TV shows. I’m also running Plex server from Linux Mint

Plex Team (or well informed others), what do you need from us to help you diagnose this? I’m happy to pull some logs or similar for you, will need specific guidance (new kid, brain melted), but will find a way.

With so many others reporting the same matter, I’m sure others can give similar assistance.

To pull logs from PMS just go to Server -> Help -> Download Logs

Why are plex not responding at all. Do they monitor these forums ? Same issue for me. I’ve been trouble shooting it for over two months. Cannot fix it.

I can provide some log files about that problem, but I don’t want to post it here.

At one point in this or another thread they said they were looking into it but hadn’t found the problem… But that was months ago…

Come on Plex, let’s get this fixed!
