Everything was running PERFECTLY until I upgraded to 1.18.0.1913 a few minutes ago. I have no reason why I upgraded with everything working so perfectly…I just did. Now for some reason, PLEX isn’t able to connect to my server. Absolutely nothing has changed except the upgrade.
I mean my PLEX is DOWN!!! WTF???

i installed the update using the deb file right over the top of the already installed 1.17 and am having no issues with it at all.
I met all the requirements of running a PLEX server just 30 minutes ago. This is CRAZY.
*I downloaded and installed upgrade.
*Plex would not connect to server. “So I’m p’d off”
*Restarted computer and PLEX connected with no issue. “Happy as HELL”
*For no apparent reason at all, connection was lost. “WTF”
is that all it was. that does happen every once in awhile. remember you are sending and receiving the info via the internet so yes from time to time it’s going to happen.
Connection was lost, and still not found.
I’ve never had to port forward anything to get PLEX up and running, Never adjusted router settings to get PLEX up and running…
Now all of a sudden my PC is currently unavailable. Does anyone have any solutions besides uninstalling?
I just restarted again, and it’s back up. Going to see how long it lasts.
I also just upgraded and I can not get the server to load, although something seems to be running in the background. However, I see no way to maintain my server anymore.
I lost connection, then it popped back up. Crazy…
How are you guys connecting? I have the most problems with the Android app…
My Roku’s and desktop connections seem fine (local and remote). But Android is iffy on a good day even locally just feet away from my access point…
My PC is going in and out for some reason. Haven’t even touched android yet. It went out again then popped back on. My other PLEX versions never done this to the point where I can actively see it doing it.
i found to keep connection is set router under fire wall or N A T with a virtual server and put the port and ip No. for plex server and it’s staying open for me but still cannot play plex of my Pc’s judt Roku.
plus you cam DMZ the virtual server too
I’ve seen other forums explain this, but I’ve never had to touch these settings. Been using PLEX since almost it’s beginnings.

This is killing me. A have the plex server up and seeing it loosing connection to the server for no apparent reason.

same here was using plex before you had to pay 
but yeah time to time i have had to update my net setting my end as have a bit of complex network with line balacer 3 fiber conections and 2 switches one wich is managed, so i do get some isuse,but all ways get around it in the end,updates tend to give isuse sometimes, but this time the being online is not the problem
none of you have provided any-
- server details- specific cpu/ram, OS, nas model info if applicable, is plex installed to ssd or hard drive (not your media, the plex software/database)
- logs, if you can’t get logs from Plex Web > settings > troubleshooting > download logs, then see @ https://support.plex.tv/articles/200250417-plex-media-server-log-files/
