I purchased the windows 10 app back in august and everytime I restart the app it requests that I activate it. It’s pretty annoying. Is there any way to fix this?

Hello, I’m also having issue with windows activation of the Plex app even though i purchased the app back in Jan of 2016
There’s something more complicated than “activation” going on with the UWP app.
I have a plex pass through the website and when I sign into any version of the app (windows, android, web) everything shows fine. If I download the UWP app through the store and sign in, only the primary account shows that it has a subscription status. This means that in the UWP app, only the primary user can use plex mix, etc.
I’d guess that these things are somehow related. When you uninstall and reinstall the app, the first thing you play after login crashes the application. This has to be the “activation” process. Not sure if this is plex servers communicating with microsoft or the app deciding if you have purchased via MS or via Plex but the issue is something to do with that I would believe.
I still have this issue currently. Not sure what to do as I have purchased it already.

it’s happening again. Once I’ve had this problem with activation - I just reinstalled the app and it worked. Now? that even doesn’t work.
I activated the app long time ago - I’ve got the payment proof.

Hi @pombeirp I’ve had this issue for over a month and haven’t found a permanent solution. I originally purchased this app (not in-app purchase) via my Xbox account several years ago. It appears that this issue only applies to the Windows 10 store app - I don’t experience this issue on either my xbox one or windows phone.
I’ve included some screenshots that show the issues I’m having with the app.

Any help in resolving this would be most welcome.
I’m having the same issue. Keep needing to reactivate it after every boot. I bought the license in November 2016.

That’s unfortunate, @pombeirp as you gave good support here. I think most of us suspected you had gone, though.
Sadly, the Windows Store App has had no proper support since you left, to the extent that I wonder if you were the only person working for Plex who knew anything about the app.
