Yet another case of "File named correctly, but Plex names it something else"

Just starting to rip my DVDs with MakeMKV.
The folder named like so:
Media\TV Shows\Endeavour (2020)\Season 07
The files named like so:
Endeavour (2020) - s0701 - Oracle.mkv

But Plex shows a Chinese character name and a Chinese poster. My Law and Order rips are in the same format and they work fine. I’ve tried the Plex Dance. The files themselves have no metadata under Windows properties description, no title. I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong.

Also… I take it you’re trying to add an episode of this show → Endeavour … not 奋进的旋律 … in that Case you should use 2013 as the year the show first aired (not the year of the season or episode airing)

should be:
TV Shows
— Endeavour (2013)
——Season 07
———Endeavour (2013) - s07e01 - Oracle.mkv

Thanks. The typo was when I typed the original post, the e for episode was there all along. But I changed the year to 2013 as you suggested and re-scanned and it shows up correctly now. So there’s apparently a Chinese language show that was filmed in 2020 named endeavour.

If you want to remove all doubt, add the TVDb ID to the TV Series’ folder name, within carets of course:

TV Shows
— Endeavour (2013) {tvdb-254834}
——Season 07
———Endeavour (2013) - s07e01 - Oracle.mkv

That pretty much overrides everything else, you could now call the folder “Mr Toad Goes To Town” and it should still match the metadata to “Endeavour (2013)”.
