I’ll wait and see what happens before I try to make a new database to test, because it’s literally going to take forever to do with the amount of content I have.
I’ll see what the new year brings but post here every couple of weeks to keep the thread open
Something isn’t right with my database (i posted another thread about this)
but I used the token/xml method to see my users and get their email address so I could send out a notification
I’m seeing users in there that I deleted a long time ago. They don’t show up in the server settings for users or friends though and i just have NO idea why those two users are still in that file when they were deleted and removed (thankfully nothing is shared with them)
I dont know, this is getting to the point that i’m asking is it worth it?
Replied in your other thread. As for this issue, we’re making some progress in that your DB doesn’t appear to be an issue. And no you are not alone, others reporting similar issue here.
It would appear that there is an issue with how the requests are being made to PMS for Search and Credits pages. The work for Credit page requests was mentioned here. We are all still returning/recovering from the holidays so give it a bit more time. 
So just to add to this… I have this exact issue, and my server is utterly tiny. Like 200 movies and about the same number of tv shows. Under 500 total for sure.
It’s a laptop running Win10 and Plex Version 1.32.8.7639.
I thought maybe it was because I’m organizing into collections. But that does not seem to matter. I’ve turned that setting to “show collections and items” and with no effect.

She is not listed over at tmdb Battle for the Planet of the Apes (1973) - Cast & Crew — The Movie Database (TMDB) which is where plex gathers most of its cast information from.
You could most likely add her with the archive footage reference as looking at tmdb’s bible it is allowed Cast - Movie Bible — The Movie Database (TMDB) (scroll down to the archive footage reference).
IMDB (www.imdb.com) is not TMDB (www.themoviedb.org) and plex used TMDB for most of the cast information.

I’ve figured this out.
ALL my movies where I have multiple versions (Directors Cut, Theatrical Release, etc), show this bug.
Naming a movie like this: “Thing{edition-Theatrical}.mp4”
Removes it from the being flagged with the server in the actors filmography, and from being available in the " Movies & Shows in Media Libraries" section.
Removing the edition data from the filename restores the movie properly to both sections on the actors page.
Something is wrong with how editions are handled and it’s breaking the link to the availability on the server.
That’s about as far as I can go with it, so I’ll stop spamming this topic.

I did i gave up on upgrading the server, they got my money, they KNOW whats going on is a problem, most people dont know to come here and voice whats going on or dont care enough about the search/credits and do it manually so they havent been in a rush to fix it
but again I paid for a plex pass and aside from how well Atomatth has treated me i feel like the “code monkeys/devs” just dont give a F since they already have my dough.
I’m glat Atomatth is a kind and decent person and tells you whats up, its just wait, he cant do anything, he’s front line cannon fodder and it sucks since he’s so decent and doesnt deserve to take the brunt of the abuse when NOTHING GETS FIXED and things only get WORSE over 6+ months cause instead of fixing things they add new stuff and keep breaking things.
I’m just glad with the server version im running it fully works great with HW/HW+ on my AMD card in the server for transcoding for my 4 non local users. WHile I’m still irritated, everything works fine (and watch, they’ll disable all the agent services that this version uses now to try and force me to upgrade)
But for now, i’m fine with the server version i use, i just click the “ignore this version” when a update pops up and i read whats new and it doesnt say “hoorray we fixed all the old users problems”. nope, CLICK IGNORE
You’re good dude, i know you’re are front line and i apologize for taking things out on you when your job is to just give the devs info for them to work on, but man, they need to FIX stuff first rather than add new stuff that doesn’t work and breaks more stuff
@cyberbillp See Edition Tag causes Library content to not be picked up as available in the "Discover" section, BUG?. Basically if all titles have an edition tag then yes they will not be seen as availabilities in the Credits pages. Known issue.
That’s not true, as most of my content has edition tags, but some can be displayed in Discover (Credits pages) while others cannot. This is fundamentally unrelated to the edition. At least, that’s the case in my situation.
@x1ao4 Can you reproduce the issue of viewing an actor Credits page where movie/shows are missing and provide the PMS logs. Also download your DB and share with me, please.
I’ll PM you the logs I already posted and a shared link to the database I posted.

this is still broken with the latest 1.40 server
any progress or updates to this? all the new server versions still wont show my server as having any of the items.

No, it hasn’t been fixed because it’s a bug, not a few people’s problem, so he couldn’t fix it for someone. After the private message exchange that day, he didn’t contact me again. Most people wouldn’t care about this issue, so the staff probably didn’t pay much attention to it.
