With PMS on your Synology NAS, let’s get control of it.
- Package Center - Plex Media Server (if it’s still there) –
- Uninstall - YES - UNINSTALL ONLY (1st radio button)
- Now get the correct SPK for your Syno - DSM 7 - (64 bit)
- Package Center
- Manual Install
- Give it the SPK file name and begin the install – HOWEVER
- Select “Install using Plex Claim token”
- Click “Get Plex Claim Token”
- A browser tab will open with a “CLAIM-xxxxxx” token
- COPY that token into your browser
- Switch back to the install window
- PASTE the token into the box on the form.

13. Click NEXT - NEXT - DONE
14. PMS will start installing. It will take a bit given the CPU is older
15. When it’s complete, it will show your username and email (if network is ok)
