Error scanning files on nVidia Shield

I just pushed an updated build of 1.13.4.5271 to the release channel. There was a build issue that was resolved. There are no other changes in this build. I tested it here locally on my SHIELD with both local data and SMB data and it’s able to scan all media types.

Will are Shield systems be automatically updates? Because you’re using the same version number?

That’s good news. Does this have the same build number? Do we need to uninstall updates and reinstall through Google Play?

Then we would all lose are libraries? Better to give it a new version number then I guess…

Will the shield automatically update even if it’s the save version or do we need to manually rollback the version ? Also if we have to manually roll back the version won’t that wipe the currently built library on the shield ?

It’s technically a different version number behind the scenes on the Google Play store, so it should be flagged as an update.

Works as well!!

Now just need mobile sync to work on the shield…

thank you so much i can confirm that it is working for TV series now. Question: can we need to change the scanner for movies back to Plex Movie Scanner?

I second the issue with mobile sync. I’ve found it works if the device immediately downloads the copy. If the copy sits on the sheild then you get a transcode issue.

its so worthless Ive given up even attempting it and syncing it with Yatse - Takes more storage space up on my phone but faster and works flawlessly

The latest build has fixed the scan issue. TV and Movie working again.

Thanks for the new build. Regarding scanning files it works, but something is still flaky with SMB. Specifically, my new share on my existing network storage (created last night) doesn’t show up. I figured I needed to “remount all shares” to get it to show up. When I click on that, the network storage that needed to be refreshed gets a spinning icon and a “disconnecting” status. It sits like that indefinitely and the new share never gets added. I’ve verified all permissions, etc. so I suspect this will be a remnant of the previous issue. Just wanted to share that. I’m guessing I could reconnect the storage to resolve my issue, but I wanted to point this out. I can elaborate if it would be helpful. Just let me know.

I asked the Android team and this is what they told me:

You might give that a try.

@timwoj clearing the cache and data worked. At first it wasn’t looking good, but a reboot straightened it out. Thanks for the response.

Same issues here… guess I will wait and start collections from scratch after the update. Darn.
