My Pixel 4XL has the same issue “Intel Apollo Lake Chromebook”

On update to 7.31.0.16802 (00d577ff), the “Pixel 4 XL” name stuck! I’ll report back on subsequent versions.

Hmm. Interesting. I just got a Plex update through the Play Store, and it reports the same version as before (7.31.0.16802 (00d577ff)). The “Pixel 4 XL” name stuck again.

Sigh…

Not that I think it’s relevant, but for added context, by now, my PMS version is 1.19.2.2702 (776106bc6).

Interesting. I just updated the app from the Google Play store, and it’s still on 8.0.1.17411 (b45bfa94). But it retained the “Pixel 4 XL” name. I wonder if app updates/reinstalls when the version remains the same is a common factor of retaining the user-assigned name.

Update to 8.1.0.17650 (1ae07b06) renamed the device to “Intel Apollo Lake Chromebook”.
