I haven’t seen an update in my channels (Phoenix area, K30MM-D 31.1 - 31.7) (original request post from May 19th. Did gracenote come back

I have a response to say that K30MM is out of scope for their database

I am getting this more frequently now for stations that are not already in their database. I asked for further clarification

There seems to be a repeating EPG problem with one Seattle-Tacoma, Washington OTA broadcast TV channel (display channel 20.5, “PosiTV”) AND a Plex player for Mac bug that’s different from the iOS and Apple TV Plex player apps.

Sorry for the multiple responses - the problem is now fully understood.

The Plex Web app and Plex Desktop app cache the guide data and if you select a future day to display the guide data for - a future date is very likely to have TBAs for airings initially - then that guide data is cached by the app and when you come day(s) later to the screen and try to re-display that day’s guide - then the app will display the data it cached earlier

I have opened an issue for the development team to ensure the EPG data is re-fetched from the server when switching days on the DVR Guide screen

Formula 1 Racing Belgium missing episodes. I see Practice 1, the Sprint Shootout, and the Race (still scheduled for Sunday morning, fortunately.) I don’t see the Qualifying episode. I did see more episodes listed in the LiveTV DVR Schedule a couple of days ago. If I’m reading the Formula1.com website correctly, there should have been Practice 1 and Qualifying on Friday, Sprint Shootout and Sprint on Saturday, and the Race on Sunday. It’s not obvious to me from the logs (attaching them,) what’s going on. Last weekend’s event in Hungary was also missing episodes at the last minute.

I am afraid it is impossible to look into schedule issues retrospectively. Gracenote purge schedules for airings that happened already and we do the same at our end

The logs show that there was an airing available for the following:

Formula 1 Racing - Belgium Grand Prix
Between 2023-07-30 07:55:00 and 2023-07-30 12:00:00

This was a 4 hour and 5 minutes schedule entry available to be recorded on channel 122 ESPN HD

There is no way for me to check now what was in the schedule for the 29th and 30th July for channel 122 - except that there was the 4 hour 5 min entry above relating to Formula 1

  Even if i set my postal code to the same as the originating station(Keokuk Iowa-52632, or seemingly rebroadcast in Quincy Illinois-62301), no option is show for ION(14.1), DEFY(14.2), GRIT(14.3), and SCRPPS NEWS(14.4)

It doesnt happen often but i wouldnt want to interrupt the day of someone who has no control over the fix.

I am not aware of any such interface / service available to users.

The service they provide is to Plex and not directly to users.

Gracenote have added channel 45.1 - This has not got picked up at our end. I have referred this to our EPG data ingestion team

KCNC just added two new channels which aren’t yet listed as channels on the EPG listing so no TV guide information is available. Would appreciate anything that can be done to have these added expeditiously. Thanks…

Absolutely nothing done with this yet, how hard is it to add 3 more channels from same broadcast tower and same tv frequency range. Just pure laziness on guide partner. Been almost a year!!!
